Before I became an unlikely Christian, one of my many and I mean MANY aversions to Christianity was the lack of good music. It’s shallow I know, but nevertheless it was one of the things in the cons column on the list inside my head.

I’m a big music guy. Given the choice between music or TV for the rest of my life, there is no question – I pick music, it’s not even close. Maybe a little closer during football season but music still wins.

Well since becoming an unlikely Christian, let me just say that I still listen to the music I’ve always listened to. I’ve read thru The Bible and nowhere did I ever see it written that thou shalt only listen to Christian Music. Having said that, I do also listen to some Christian music. Why? Because I feel compelled/convicted now that I’m a Christian to listen to it? Not at all. I listen to it because I enjoy it. I’ve found, contrary to my earlier beliefs, that some of it is really,really good, great even!
